Srinagar, February 13, 2025 – Surinder Singh Channi, Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Congress, extended heartfelt wishes to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
In a statement issued today, Channi said, “On this auspicious night of Shab-e-Barat, I wish peace, prosperity, and forgiveness to all. May this holy night bring blessings and divine mercy to every individual. Let us use this occasion to reflect on our actions and seek guidance for a better future.”
Shab-e-Barat, observed on the 14th night of Sha’ban in the Islamic calendar, is seen as a time for prayer, self-reflection, and seeking forgiveness from Allah. It is a night when many Muslims believe their destinies for the coming year are written, and it is considered a time of spiritual renewal.
Channi further urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to come together in prayer, unity, and peace, emphasizing the importance of mutual understanding and harmony among people of all faiths. He said, “Let us all join hands in creating a peaceful and harmonious society, transcending all barriers of caste, religion, and creed.”
